ScrobRealPlayer - This scrobbler plug-in was for scrobbling RealPlayer 11 . It transfered the currently playing song information to the Last.FM social music platform server. The plug-in was contained in a single windows dll file and was based on the RealSystem G2 SDK from RealNetworks and implemented the Last.FM ScrobSub library made available by Audioscrobbler.
ScrobRhapsody - The Rhapsody plugin for Last.FM is still working and is available.
I have left this link so you can still access the installer to run the uninstall program. ScrobRealPlayer (windows installer)
if you used the windows installer to install the plug-in please be sure to use the installer from the control panel to un-install the plug-in
Thank you for your interest in this project.
10-28-2011 Beginning with Realplayer version 14, the ScrobRealplayer Last.fm scrobbler plug-in is not loaded by the program. To my knowledge Realplayer has not updated the SDK to support the ability to continue this project or future plug-in projects like it.
07-22-2009 Discovered an issue when using Realplayer SP beta. Audio CD's fail to play. The solution is to un-install the plug-in.
10-17-2008 added a windows installer to make the install process easier.
The plug-in was developed based on information made available by Last.FM and by RealNetworks. I made this plug-in for my own personal use. I use Vista Home with RealPlayer 11 and I have not experienced any problems from using the ScrobRealPlayer plug-in. That said, please use this software at your own risk. Only music files played from the RealPlayer Library will get scrobbled. Mp3 files work fine. Other formats may or may not get scrobbled. Songs played from Audio CD's will not be scrobbled. Streams played from Rhapsody, etc also do not get scrobbled. This is an indepedent project and I am not affiliated with RealNetwork or LastFM in any way.
Enjoy,
Ron
